Poker is popular all over the world. It combines principles of card games known hundreds of years ago in Europe and probably long before that in the Orient, but in its present form it is distinctly of American origin. Nowadays there are exist many poker variations, but there are not many differences between them. The principle of the game is the same for all poker variations. If you know the principles of the game well enough you can easily be a winner. Poker is a game of betting as to which player holds the best hand. In most poker variations the combination of five highest-ranking cards form a winning hand, but in some poker games the strongest hands are different. In High/Low poker the pot can be split by two players. The player who has the strongest hand and the player, who has the weakest hand are the winners. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. To win the pot is the objective of the game. There are two ways of winning the pot. 
After making all the bets there is a showdown. The player with the best hand wins. The player can make a very high bet, which will not be supported by other players. In this case other players have to fold and the player with the high bet is the winner without showing his cards. All cards of the 52 card deck are used. Each player receives one cards at a time.
