All poker players can be divided into four groups. Belonging to this or that type players have both strong and weak points and all of them have advantages over others in some particular situations.
Each of these types has at least two basic attributes.
If the player is tight (plays very few hands) or loose (plays a lot of hands):
If the player is aggressive (raises and bluffs) or passive (calls other players bets).
Loose-Aggressive
In fact it is the weakest category in online poker. The main feature of such a player is that he raises every time after the flop. If playing in a real casino such a strategy works against poor players and allows a player to win only small pots. But in an online casino this strategy will bring nothing but losses. Loose-Aggressive players attract sharks. The sharks are fine with letting these players have 10 small pots; they are after the three large pots which will eventually break this player. The only advice here is not to stick to one and the same table. It is better to change tables every 50 hands.
Loose-Passive
This is another weak category. These players can only make money in a game with a lot of wild players and generally have to depend on luck to have a successful poker session. These players always call other players’ bets disregarding their strength. Such players can stay in the game longer than anybody else, but they will never be able to beat the house edge.
Tight-Passive
These players can win money simply because there are so many bad players in the online poker rooms. Such players are easy to notice. Players of this type never bluff. If this type of player has a decent hand or a lot of outs, he or she will call your bet or make a small bet. They fold if they have a bad hand.
Tight-Aggressive
This is the best type among all others. They have the following principle of the game: see a flop with a decent hand and then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet. Multi-Hand Poker Advice.
