The bets made by the players are added to the pot, which is situated in the center of the table. If you don’t want to meet the highest bet by some other player you can’t compete for the pot. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. To win the pot is the objective of the game. A player can win the pot in one of the two ways. 
After making all the bets there is a showdown. The player with the best hand wins. The player can make a very high bet, which will not be supported by other players. In this case other players have to fold and the player with the high bet is the winner without showing his cards. Poker is played with a 52-card deck. Only one card at a time is dealt.
